Elder Ortiz's Fire of Faith

The missionaries came over for dinner a few nights ago. Elder Ortiz did this Fire of Faith on me and then on daddy. He said that when we have faith we sometimes have to wait for the witness because it comes AFTER the test of our faith. Like tithing, we pay our tithing and have faith that we will be blessed. We have to pay it first and then get blessed. Not ask to see the blessing before we pay it. So he took tea bags and made a square out of them and set it on our hand:
Then he lit it on fire!
"Do you trust me Bishop Lords? Do you have faith I am not going to burn your hand?"

Here we go!

It gets a litte warmer.....

And closer to the hand......

Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!

It's REALLY close!

And then it POPS off your hand and rises!

Higher and higher and higher! It was really neat.

Our day out of school

We didn't have any school yesterday. Just the teachers were there. So mom, us kids and the Youles family went to Carson City. We went to a children's museum. It was a lot of fun! I liked climbing the tread wall, the shadow box, playing on the floor walking piano and virtual maze.

We had a picnic by the state capitol building. After we ate we went inside.

Churchill County flag

A cool desk in a museum they have in the capitol building.

We also got these cool coins from the Govenor's office. Govenor Gibbons face is on one side and the Nevada state seal on the other. They are the size of a silver dollar.
